How Do I, as a Student, Save my Files and Access Harisree File Server?


  • Each user has a space in the file server (Harisree). You can backup your files in your user space in Harisree file server.
  • Only under exceptional circumstances can this quota be increased and verification of any such request will need to be granted from your school/Faculty subject head.
  • If Z drive is not seen in ‘My Computer’, then follow the following steps to access the drive:

    Click on Start

    Select RUN

    Type in: \\harisree and Press Enter. You would be able to find the Public_html folder and the share drive,

    If your are logged in with your own id,

    Start- My Computer, there you can see z: drive in your login name.

    Access Harisree File Server - Linux

    Select Connect to option and type in harisree.asas.kh.amrita.edu

    Use your asas username and password

    Enter the Domain Name
